David Cook hospitalized!

things were good last night for David Cook.
He got himself a fancy new haircut...of which i totally approve:

he gave another stellar performance. indeed. i love this dude. he may be ripping off other performer's arrangements, but he's not trying to pass them off as his own. he's giving credit where credit is due. something i appreciate.

but, it seems that after the show, Sir David was not so good. after experiencing heart palpitations and high blood pressure, he was driven to a private doctor who medicated him and brought his blood pressure down. (hopefully not Paula's doctor. hahaha.)

American Idol - Top 12 - MEN

i like!
David Archuleta, "Shop Around"...he's ridiculously cute...and the dude can blow. for serious.
Jason Castro, "Daydream"...hahah...he's John Travolta meets Minnie Driver! but he can sing. and i kinda love him already.
Michael Johns, "Light My Fire"...he had me at Bohemian Rhapsody. love.
Colton Berry, "Suspicious Minds"...except now. all. i. see. is Ellen Degeneres. he sang a song i like, albeit not as good as Chris Daughtry.
David Hernandez "In the Midnight Hour"..he sounds great, i really enjoy him. but yes, needs to loosen up. a lot.

Chikeze "More Today Than Yesterday"..is anyone getting a Gary Coleman vibe? no? just me?
Danny Noriega, "Jailhouse Rock"...i love his enthusiasm, but he's a little bit scary. and bad, bad, bad choice of song. also...not to get nitpicky...but that song came out in the 50s. just sayin'
Luke Menard, "Everybody's Talkin'" oh, dear. so hot. so, so hot. but so, so BORING. dude. come on. i hope you make it another week...
Jason Yeager, "Moon River"..he sounded okay...well, he would have, had i not been asleep.
Garrett Haley, "Breaking Up is Hard to Do"...i'm fairly certain that he's a girl.

i am totally just plain ole 'meh about
David Cook ("Happy Together") i have issues looking at him...but i kind of like what he did with the song.
Robbie Carrico, "One"...oh Robbie...just a tip...the addition of a bandana does not a rock star make.

the good:

• Chikese. loved him and his Randy banter.
• plus-sized Joanne - - she was GREAT. i loved her confidence!
• Cardin....i thought she was adorable....and she works in a fondue resturant!

the bad:

• Islands in the stream girl. i thought she was AWFUL.
• i didn't love Danny. am i the only one???

the ugly:

• the twins and the dog girl. the only thing redeeming about the whole mess was that dog. stop. beat.boxing.
• Tiffany. hahaha. Simon asking her if God has a returns policy.

best exchange: "I'm going to sing Proud Mary" "Of course you were"

best moment: Simon forgetting the names montage. but they totally forgot to play when Simon mispronounced Obama. ahahaha.

American Idol...Atlanta Auditions

the good:

• Asiah (sp?)...she made me cry. usually, i don't fall for the sob story...but i don't know..hers got to me (yes, folks, i DID cry watching american idol last night. sue me)
• rock nurse...she was a'ight. liked her

the bad:

• Josiah...i don't see him and his faux british accent making it much farther in this game. i don't feel bad for him because he lives in his car.
• Nathan...his bit about not spooning with Simon was not even remotely funny. you got your 15 minutes, now get a life, dude.

the annoying:

• Miss South Florida Fair. I'm with Simon. i really wanted her to be bad...but she wasn't.
• Eva and her not-an-act fall

best line of the night: "i just said do-do American Idol"
